Ira Mitchell

Ira Mitchell is a Queenstown-born artist based in Christchurch, with 12 years of professional painting experience. With international residencies in France and New York, her work has been showcased globally, including the Louvre de Caroussel in Paris and most recently in Melbourne plus regularly throughout New Zealand, blending her art and education expertise beautifully always.

Raised in the mountains her love of landscapes, the rugged glacial carved mountains her family worked trapping in winters, and enjoyed Summer swims in the fresh snow feed waters.
